TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last Updated: July 2026
Welcome to Dedicated Moving LLC (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (dedicatedmoving.com) and outline the legally binding rules. For booking and executing our moving, packing, and logistics services.
By booking a move or placing a deposit with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
1. Booking & Deposits
-
Deposit Requirement: To secure a moving date on our calendar, a refundable deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking. See Cancellations & Rescheduling below.
-
Reservation Confirmation: No moving date or service time is guaranteed until the deposit has been successfully paid and processed.
2. Pricing, Estimates, and Service Minimums
Our local moving services within our New England service radius are billed on an hourly rate plus an applicable travel fee. All jobs are subject to our strict standard service minimums:
| Service Type | Minimum Requirement | Notes |
| Labor-Only Jobs | 2.5-Hour Minimum | Loading/unloading rental trucks or containers. |
| Full Residential Moves | 4-Hour Minimum | Includes moving truck, equipment, and crew. |
Estimates provided prior to the move are non-binding approximations. Based on the information provided by the customer. Final costs are calculated upon completion based on actual hours worked and materials used.
3. Strict Payment Terms & Completion Policy
By placing a deposit and scheduling our services, you explicitly agree to the following payment schedule:
🛑 Crucial Payment Clause
Deposit Policy: Once a deposit is placed, it is applied directly toward the final cost of your move. If a move is canceled by the customer, the deposit is forfeited.
Immediate Final Payment: The total remaining balance of the invoice is due immediately upon the completion of all moving services on the exact day of the job. Our moving crew will present the final invoice as soon as the last item is unloaded.
Accepted Payment Methods: We accept Cash, Bank Certified Checks, and major Credit/Debit Cards. We do not accept personal checks for final day-of payments.
Credit Card Processing Fee: All final day-of payments made via credit or debit card are subject to a 3% processing fee. To avoid this fee, customers may pay the final balance in cash or via certified check.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
-
We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any customer-initiated scheduling changes or cancellations.
-
If you reschedule or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, a rescheduling fee may apply, or your original deposit will be forfeited, requiring a new deposit to secure a future date.
5. Inclement Weather Policy
Living and operating in New England means dealing with severe weather (snowstorms, ice, hurricanes, or severe thunderstorms).
-
Safety First: Dedicated Moving LLC reserves the right to reschedule a move if weather conditions create hazardous driving or walking conditions that compromise the safety of our crew or the security of your belongings.
-
No Penalty Rescheduling: If Dedicated Moving LLC must postpone a job due to official weather advisories, state-of-emergency declarations, or unsafe road conditions, your deposit will be fully transferred to the new agreed-upon date at no penalty to you.
-
Customer Responsibility: If a move proceeds during light snow or rain, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure driveways, walkways, and stairs are salted, shoveled, and clear of ice and debris. Delays caused by uncleared snow or ice will be billed at our standard hourly rate.
6. Damages, Liabilities, and Valuation Coverage
-
Standard Carrier Liability: In accordance with Massachusetts state law, our standard liability for lost or damaged goods is limited to $0.60 per pound per article unless additional valuation coverage is purchased prior to the move.
-
Pre-existing Conditions: Dedicated Moving LLC is not responsible for the inherent structural instability of particleboard/pressed-wood furniture, nor are we liable for pre-existing damage to electronics or appliances.
-
Property Damage: Any claims for damage to the physical property (walls, floors, doors) must be reported to the team leader before the crew leaves the job site on the day of the move.
7. Customer Responsibilities
-
Presence Required: The customer (or an authorized adult representative over 18) must be present during the entire duration of the loading and unloading process.
-
Readiness: Unless full-service packing was explicitly booked, all boxes must be taped shut and ready for transport before the crew arrives. Delays caused by lack of preparation will be billed at our standard hourly rate.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal actions arising from our services must be filed in the appropriate court system closest to our headquarters in Shirley, MA.
